Delivery Manager

Role: Delivery Manager

Salary: Up to £50,000 

Location: Hybrid, Worcestershire or Birmingham

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Managerto join their organisation and make a positive impact to learners and employers across the West Midlands, aligning with their curriculum intent and strategy: Genuinely work based learning underpinned by academic rigour.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Aligning with their values, curriculum intent and strategy.
  2. Performance management of the Academic Team.
  3. Ensuring the following Ofsted EIF Judgement Areas are continuously improved:

·Quality of education

·Professional behaviour and attitudes

·Personal development.

4.Ensuring adherence to the requirements of QAA standards (for degree apprenticeships), End Point Assessment Organisations, funding organisations.

5.Managing the learner journey from beginning to end, including resolution of issues that are escalated to you.

6.Curriculum QiP (Quality Improvement) across all programmes, driving for gold standard by:

·Working alongside the Engagement Team to ensure correct engagement processes for learners and employers.

·Ensuring the academic team, the quality and compliance support team are delivering excellent customer service for learners and employers.

·Implementing the observation calendar, giving feedback to coaches and improving quality of service delivery.

·Reviewing and implementing new programmes

7.Evaluating and continuously improving the quality of their Schemes of Work, including:

·Lesson planning on the Totara LMS (Learning Management System)

·Coaching delivery

·Learner ePortfolio production 

8.Actively participating in employer engagement consolidation activities to ensure employers understand our programmes and our way of delivery 

9.Together, with the Quality and Operations Teams, you will need to continuously improve the quality of their Totara & Mahara (+ other) Learning Management Systems in terms of:

·System configuration


·Content development

·Team adoption and exploitation

·Learner and employer mentor adoption and exploitation

10.Training and coaching

·Leading on the Monday training and standardisation meetings for the Academic team, in alignment with the curriculum intent and the company’s vision 

·Ad-hoc emergency training/coaching sessions cover (in situations where there is a training shortfall and there is no other cover capacity)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must align with their curriculum intent and strategy: Genuinely  work based learning underpinned by academic rigour
  • Has experience of successfully managing a team of trainers
  • Is educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Understands employer needs and has a passion for developing local and regional skills 
  • Has strong project management and organisation skills
  • Is able to deliver against their values and communicate with individuals from various backgrounds and in a variety of different roles
  • Has a background in the apprenticeship or further education sector
