Salary: Up to £35k basic £50k OTE uncapped

Housing the largest collections of both common and civil legal information and benefiting from world-class, innovative and AI-driven technology, the flagship platform is used by thousands of academic and professional organisations across the globe. 

Following from a recent acquisition and private equity investment our client is looking for talented individuals to join their team. 

The Role

They are looking for high achievers with a passion for sales and technology to join their rapidly expanding commercial team as a Business Development Consultant. You will need to be a driven and competitive self-starter, as well as an innovative and exceptional communicator with a passion to inspire and motivate your clients and those around you and hold a solid academic record, a minimum of two years of sales experience, and a true desire to succeed in the Tech and SaaS space. 

Working remotely, you will report to the Head of Business and form part of their UK-based team. You will be responsible for managing your own diverse pipeline of prospect accounts across the UK, Ireland, Caribbean, Middle East and Africa, demonstrating their flagship platform, its content, and technology, and managing a full 360 sales process ultimately closing clients to achieve associated revenue targets. 

This role joins a small but established Business Development team supported by a dedicated SDR team, offering high performers the opportunity to grow alongside the company at an incredibly exciting time.

  • Be a Self Generator: Research, prospect, and contact qualified prospective leads 

  • Own the Opportunity: Demonstrate their unique collection of content and technology, its AI assistant, and its growing collection of chat GPT-led features.

  • Provide Consultation: Act as a true trusted advisor and consultant to each individual 

sales process, understanding the individual needs and matching the product portfolio to 

ensure the best match possible. 

·Exceed Targets: Actively achieve daily, weekly, and monthly individual and team KPIs, including individual contributor revenue targets. 

  • Be Successfully Autonomous: Manage, grow and maintain your own pipeline of high 

quality prospects, nurturing them to the point of close 

  • Achieve Goals: Closing high-quality prospects on a regular basis 

Key Skills & Qualifications 

·Experience within legal, technology or SaaS is highly desirable

·Two years prior experience in 360 BDC or equivalent role

·Driven interest in the sales, marketing, legal, and technology industries

·Confident, professional and calm communication skills, both written and verbal

·A tenacious and resilient personality

·Confident in dealing and liaising with customers from various countries around the world 

·Ability to meet and exceed targets

·Ability to work well within a tight-knit team but excel independently

·Efficient time management skills
